FAQ
Find answers about Onimusha HQ's official sources, gameplay verification, platform details, and spoiler controls, with links to the relevant guides.
Is Onimusha HQ an official CAPCOM website?
No. Onimusha HQ is an independent English-language player reference, not a CAPCOM service. Our editorial decisions, corrections, and site tools are our responsibility. Game names and official media belong to their respective owners. A link to an official source supports the particular claim being discussed; it does not imply CAPCOM endorsement of this website.
What does an Official source label actually verify?
It identifies information supported by the sources listed on that page. Check the verification scope and checked date as well as the label. An official explanation of a combat rule does not prove that our team measured its timing or tested a boss strategy. We keep suggested recording methods separate from reported results and do not invent frames, damage values, or completion records.
Why are there no tested boss strategies or chapter routes?
We do not currently have owner-controlled recordings that establish those routes and strategies. The boss and walkthrough categories have therefore been withdrawn from search submissions and navigation. A release announcement or promotional video is not enough to verify encounter phases, item locations, death penalties, or checkpoints. Those claims need reproducible evidence and review before a guide can be offered to readers.
How can I correct an error or outdated claim?
Open Contact and Corrections and use the editorial email address. Include the affected page, the specific statement, and a link to an official source or reproducible recording. For gameplay evidence, include the platform, version, difficulty, and relevant timestamp. Online form submissions remain disabled until their secure service is configured. Please do not send passwords, account credentials, or private save files.
Do spoiler preferences or tool saves require an account?
No account is required. Spoiler preferences and local tool saves are stored in your browser; they are not a cloud backup. Clearing browser data or switching devices can remove or separate those preferences. The local tools do not provide verified gameplay coverage while their production datasets are empty, and the site does not advertise them as completed guides.
